Project Overview
In the wake of the devastating fire that broke out near the Yaseenabad Graveyard in Federal B Area, Karachi, Pakistan, I thought of the 100 families who lost their homes and belongings. The cold, rainy winter weather only added to the urgency of their need for shelter, food, and warmth. I believed that it is our responsibility to do what we can to help these families rebuild their lives, one step at a time.

Challenge
The bitter winter rain and freezing temperatures left many people without shelter or warmth. It was a
heart-wrenching sight to see them shivering and hungry, with no blankets to protect them from the harsh elements. I knew that I couldn’t just stand by and watch, no matter what obstacles came along the way.

Evolvement/Awaking
As I was cozy and warm under my blanket, enjoying some hot crispy snacks, news reached me of a fire that had broken out in a nearby slum. I couldn’t help but wonder if anyone had come to their aid in the six hours since the fire had started. Driven by a sense of duty and a desire to help, I made my way to the site of the fire. It was a cold and bleak scene, and the suffering of those affected was clear to see. The photographs that I took capture just a fraction of the devastation and despair that I witnessed.
But it was in that moment that I realized the true impact of my actions. I had the power to make a difference, to provide these people with the help and support they so desperately needed. And it was up to me to take action and make that happen.

Solution
I knew that I needed to create a powerful and impactful key visual with the intention of inspiring greater numbers of people to connect with and assist those affected by the situation. By designing a visual that resonated deeply with people’s emotions and experiences, I hoped to spark a sense of empathy and a call to action that will drive positive change. With that visual, I hoped to unite people around a common goal of making a real difference in the lives of those who were suffering.

Campaign Strategy
Through a rapid, strategic approach, I was able to effectively utilize digital media platforms to raise awareness and make a positive impact. After crafting compelling content, I immediately shared it with my contacts through WhatsApp, encouraging them to share it on their own Twitter and Facebook accounts. The response was overwhelming, with many people sharing my message and helping to amplify my efforts.
I am proud of the achievement in leveraging digital media platforms to make a real difference in people’s lives.

Through my verbal and visual identity, I was able to inspire others to join me in the fight for a brighter future, one filled with hope, compassion, and the unwavering belief that together, we can make a real difference.
